  • “Advanced Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Manual,” Pomona College, 2007-2008, Chemistry Laboratory Notebook, safety glasses and safety manual. Available for purchase from chemistry department stockroom. These items will be billed to your student account.

 

  • “Statistics and Chemometrics for Analytical Chemistry,” Fourth or Fifth editions, J.C. Miller and J.N. Miller, Prentice Hall Publishing, 2001 or 2005.

Exam Dates and Topics Covered

There will be two 24 hour take home exams, a mid-term and a final.  The midterm exam will cover Chapters 1, 6, 8-15, 20, 22-28. The final exam will be comprehensive and is due December 17, by 5:00 P.M.   The format of these exams is meant to provide you with the type of tools that you would have available if you were presented with this type of problem.  As a result, you will be expected to provide more complete answers and document your sources.
